Pros: Small, sturdy, lightweight, FM tuner, loud volume, good headphones, 128 MB
Cons: No rechargeable batteries, changing FM presets requires 3 turns/clicks for each change
The Bottom Line: If you want a portable flash MP3 player with 128MB, FM tuner, good volume, durability, inexpensive price, buy the Intel Pocket Concert Digital Audio Player... I did!
spideymd's Full Review: Intel Pocket Concert (128 MB) MP3 Player
There are a LOT of MP3 players on the market right now, and it is hard to decide which one to buy. I have read multiple reviews/ratings/critiques prior to buying the Intel Pocket Concert Digital Audio Player, and I have to say that I am very satisfied.
Pros: It is about the size of a pager and easily clips onto your belt (if you wear one) with the included belt clip. If not, you can very easily slip it into any pocket. The included 128 MB makes it easy to store about 25 songs in MP3 format at 128 kbps (about 2 hours). If you have them in WMA format, you can get double the number of songs (about 4 hours). In MP3 format, that is almost double the amount in comparison to any other player. The volume level and clarity are outstanding. It is much louder than any other player and is definitely fine even for the heavy metal fan. The FM radio is easy to use. The reception is pretty good, but not excellent. However, there are very few players out there with an FM tuner. The headphones are nice, lightweight, and crisp sounding. The distortion level is very low. You can adjust bass/treble.
Cons: after programming the FM presets, you have to press the jog dial, turn the dial, and press it again to access the next station. (minor inconvenience). Rechargeable batteries are not included, but most people have NiMH rechargeable batteries and a charger already. If not, get one since you will be using it time and time again. You will need 2 AAA batteries for this unit. Someone mentioned that you cannot get the FM radio if you do not use the Intel headphones... NOT TRUE. I just tried it and it works fine with a pair of generic earbuds I own. I wish this thing were waterproof (for those of you who work up a sweat).
I bought it at www.2buyStore.com for $247 without any extra Tax/Shipping. Great service, and I received it in 4 days.
