Near perfect inexpensive solution using the best Athlon XP chipset availiable, nForce2 Ultra 400

Pros: nForce2 Ultra-400 chipset, dual-channel DDR-400 support, overclocking support, AGP8X, sheer performance, excellent stability, price
Cons: 3 RAM slots, no AGP clip, RAM slots too close to AGP slot, no RAID

Fast, stable and a good deal, too.

Pros: Fast, inexpensive and stable board with a decent feature set.
Cons: RAM too close to the AGP card would be about all I can think of.

Stable, low cost system with this Mainboard

Pros: Fast system with no detected problems in over a month of operation.
Cons: Memory slots too close to the AGP slot. No lock for AGP card
