Called Monday morning to confirm, but got Randy's voicemail - left my order number and asked him to call back. He never called back, but I got an email that same day with tracking number, indicating my camcorder had shipped. No phone conversation necessary, and no pressure to buy extras. Received the camcorder on Wednesday by Fedex.

Overall - well done; however (small point), would have been nice had they called back.

My camera came exactly as promised and a day earlier than expected. My order confirmation was prompt and concise.
My over all satisfaction was excellent. I thought it was a little strange that I was instructed not to call and that if I had that my order could take longer.(I'd drop that line) I will definitly shop with Digital Mega store again.

1. I was called to confirm my order and was pushed (with unfriendly language) to buy accessories. I didn't give in.

It's nice to have an on-line retailer provide competitive pricing and actually deliver what they claim they have in stock. Digital Mega Store did a good, honest job selling me the camera I wanted and JUST the camera I wanted. No hard sell on over-priced accessories. No bait and switch. No merchandise that turns out to be out of stock (unlike some other sellers) when they can't sell you more than you want. THESE GUYS ARE GOOD AND HONEST in their sales. The camera was exactly as ordered (not gray-market stuff without a US warranty). It was shipped quickly and delivered within the promised time period. They provided package tracking information. The only thing less-than-perfect was the packing. The camera (within it's carton) was simply placed in a cardboard box with one inflated bag. This was a bit minimal and could rattle around the shipping box. I would have included more cushioning material. That said, it still arrived in good condition with all parts working. In short, this was a very good experience.

The shopping experience was just fine. The delivery was fumbled and the customer service was inexcusably rude and unhelpful. Your people called my father, the intended recipient of a digital camera, his birthday present. The problem was explained, and while my father tried to provide the information to correct the shipping or credit card problem, your rep tells him it isn't 'worth his time to bother with this order, because of the small dollar amount involved.' As an Air Force member serving overseas for your friggin' freedom to make money, it infuriates me to hear that this matter was handled with such a lack of professionalism. Not suprising, my father canceled the order. Thanks for screwing up his birthday, wasting our time, being so rude and making us feel like so called 'valued customers.' How you got such high marks from your other customers is beyond me. I compared prices on the Minolta Dimage Z2 camera and Digital Mega Store had one of the lowest prices, beating local stores and some internet competitors by as much as $90. (I previously had tried the lowest priced store, which was another $20 cheaper. They were extremely rude and wouldn't ship for 4-6 weeks after I declined any overpriced accessories.) I tried Digital Mega Store next, choosing them because of their price and the number of positive experiences other buyers have had. I ordered by phone on Monday afternoon, verifying first that they had the camera, that it was not a gray-market item, and that they ship promptly. I received slight pressure to purchase accessories but declined. I received e-mail confirmation and a tracking number on Tuesday and received the Minolta Dimage Z2 camera on Thursday. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the service I received, and especially pleased with how quickly they shipped the camera. I would highly recommend Digital Mega Store.

I was initially concerned about ordering on-line for my Panasonic PV GS250 camcorder, but based on the other reviews, price and shipping cost, this was the best option. Very prompt service. Ordered it on a Friday and got item delivered by FedEx by the following Thursday, despite an intervening holiday, and shipment was from New York to Hawaii. Item was double boxed, and all accessories were included. I was also concerned this was a "grey market" item, but serial numbers on box and camcorder matched, and I had no problem registering the camcorder with Panasonic. My only problem was their "My Account" page on the status of my order did not work, but this was easily remedied by an email, and very prompt response the next day. I was very surprised that this was such a quick, easy, and problem free transaction.

I have had a nightmare getting credit for a camcorder that was returned unopened. They have had it for a month and after twice calling and being assured the credit had gone through, I just found out today that it still hasn't. I am also not being credited the full amount for some inexplicable reason. Although the product was excellent and shipping was good, they get a 0 for customer service in dealing with problems. I used this store to save money and the amount I've lost in shipping has erased any savings had I just bought it at the Brandsmart down the road.

I have been trying to get an order filled for over a month. My experience trying to order was terrible. They never returned my MANY calls and requests to get the status of the order. After hours of being on hold and trying to get information for the last month, I'm canceling our purchase today!

I purchased a Panasonic PV-GS200 camcorder.

I chose this store because they had the lowest price of the Shopping.com trusted stores.

The delivery was not speedy. I payed for overnight shipping on Friday and did not get the camera until Tuesday. I figured the camera would ship Friday night and I would receive it Saturday. It turns out that they go home early on Friday, are not open on Saturday, and there is no FedEx on Sunday so the camera did not ship until Monday night.

Here's what bothered me about the experience:
*I payed for overnight shipping. FedEx did their part, but they Digital Megastore did not.
*I did not receive and e-mail confirmation.
*When I called on Sunday, they would not commit to shipping the camcorder on Monday. They would only say that it will ship Monday or Tuesday. At one point, the guy on the phone told me that the only way he could guarantee that it would ship Monday was if I bought the $100 accessory package. I do not know if that lapse of integrity was only on that employees part or was a tactic commonly used by the company.

 SONY STR-DG920 Receiver at my door 2 days after online order. Factory fresh unit. Easily the cheapest price on the net, and I spent a LOT of time looking. Free delivery too. Good communication from order placement to shipping.

I purchased this camera as a christmas present for my husband and he uses it for work and pleasure and general. It was the best price we found and we did shop around - so that’s thumbs up for digital megastore!! They were prompt at calling me back immediately when they had a question on my order inorder that I would receive it on time.

I ordered a LCD television. The store offered a 150$ rebate. When I received the TV, from the box was missing the bar code, needed to get the rebate. Called the customer service five times and every time I received different answers. Finally they told me that they had the bar code and I should receive it by mail in a few days... never received. Called again and another story... This is a FRAUD. Terrible experience.

I ordered a digital camera Sunday evening (24OCT04) with trepidation given some of the reviews even though this merchant is well rated overall. Price was within a few dollars of the lowest cost. Chose the cheapest shipping (7-10 business days). Got the confirmation call early Monday afternoon. No pressure to buy anything extra. Just a confirmation of my address. Tracking was very easy from their web site. I was also sent a confirming e-mail that the camera was shipped 26OCT04 and informing me that my order had been upgraded to 2 day express. My camera arrived early Thursday afternoon (28OCT04). (I shopped for a digital camera for a year and a half, so was willing to wait, but it was nice to have my camera in a few days!)

It's now two weeks after I placed my order. They said the order shipped last week. I live in Brooklyn, they're located in Brooklyn, it's still not here 10 days after they said it shipped. 
I emailed to ask for tracking numbers, no response.
I call the Customer Service line and I'm put on hold for HOURS. 
Their excuse was that it was drop shipped from the manufacturer. Still, no tracking number. I will be contacting the NYC Department of Consumer Affairs.
AVOID this store!!!!

The worst online experience to date...
I ordered a TV in early September which was charged to credit card on Sept 13,2004. To date there has been no follow up to the numerous messages iI have left via email and voice mail....
At the time of order I was told that the product was in stock and would be shipped in 10-14 days....
It is now my understanding that they do not have the product in stock, nor do they know when they will have it.
I've requested cancelling the order and receiving a credit to my charge card which has not happened. (Over $2700 )
They also do not respond to voice mail or email messages...

BUYER BEWARE...DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY...

shopping at digitalmegastore.com was a very pleasant experience. I was a little reluctant because their price for the Canon ZR-90 digital camcorder was the cheapest I saw and sometimes cheaper ends up costing more in the long run. I have never ordered online before and the fantastic reviews that I read convinced me that I would not have a problem. I was right. When I phoned to confirm my order, customer service was very nice and even gave me the shipping information. I ordered an extra battery and that ended up being defective. When I telephoned them I was not hassled at all but the problem was resolved immediately. They made the exchange painless and took care of it immediately. They even shipped it out to me next day air before I had even returned the defected one. I would highly recommend doing business with this establishment.

I did my research and decided on a Sony TRV350 digital camcorder as a Christmas gift. I placed my order by phone on Saturday afternoon; I waited on hold for no more than 5". The saleswoman was pleasant (she did try to sell me accessories and a battery, but no hard sell). I received and e-mail with a FedEx tracking number on Monday and the camera arrived on the promised day-today. Everything appears as expected...Also, I can't help but notice they have had a price increase since I placed my order, but I still got the original advertised price.

Only Camcorders and cameras are returnable. Do not buy anything else from this company unless you intend to keep it.

Very good service. I accidentally put wrong credit card number on the order form, they called me several times until they reached me and then processed the order very quickly. I ordered the Sony T-1, it came securely packed and as described. WOuld do business with again. I did get follow up calls to buy accessories, but when I declined there was no pressure.
