Oh common folks! What other product works as well, as advertised and can be depended upon with some smell! Must we apply "Political correctness" to everything. THIS STUFF WORKS!!!!!! While removing some of those self sticking linoleum squares with a heat gun, it left behind a sticky residue that you could see and, would have stuck my dogs paws to the floor if she'd been allowed on it. Tried to remove the adhesive with alcohol (denatured, not drinking), acetone (bad move, takes the finish and color with it off wood floors, paint thinnner, and products called "Ooops" and another called "Krud Kutter Adhesive Remover" (save your money, this stuff is junk!). But, trusty Goof Off was spread on and almost immediately wiped off with paper towels and the goo came off without a scraper or anything other than the paper towels. BUY IT!IT WORKS!

It may smell awful, but since this stuff works instantly, I don't have to endure it for too long. It amazingly just dissolved dried old latex paint on my aluminum window frames, my sidewalks, and on my wood finished cupboards without hurting the finish. It just wiped away candle wax that had spilled on my tile floor and coffee table. It ate away label residue too. This stuff is SO awesome.

Pros: Works quickly.... Inexpensive.....
Cons: sometimes the smell can be a big powerful.....

I bought GoofOff, not really knowing what it was I was buying. I just needed something to remove 'stuff' that gets stuck on, or spilled onto, or accidentally jumps onto items around the house.

It has never failed me......I have gotten the goo from velcro fasteners removed from my back taillights on my van....made a hard job easy.

I got paint out of my grand daughters school shirt....which would have been a very expensive item to have ruined. It's back to school now for it......

And now that I've used up the whole container.....I can't find anymore for sale in this area....and so I'm frantically on the look out for more GoofOff...

It's my final solution to any problem......

Pros: Has worked well on numerous adhesives.
Cons: Personally don't feel that the warnings on the can are sufficient.

I have used this product for several years. It's always worked fairly well.... until the other day. I had taped a for sale sign on the windshield of my scooter. The adhesive tape left some residue. So, what do I do but grab the Goof Off. Big Mistake. It not only left a giant smudge on the plastic windshield and it didn't take the adhesive off. When I rubbed, the smudge got bigger. I guess it probably dissolved some of the windshield material and now I can't see through the windshield and will have to buy a new one. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS STUFF WHEN YOU GET IT NEAR PLASTIC!!! THIS MISTAKE IS GOING TO COST ME AROUND $75.00 FOR A NEW WINDSHIELD. I had just put the bike up for sale. Now I won't be able to sell it to anyone like that!
One other point. Wish the manufacturer would make an easier opener. I don't know how many times I've practically broken a fingernail trying to open the applicator.

Pros: It works with only a little scrubbing, to totally remove marks.
Cons: It's dangerous I guess.

THis stuff works well to take off permanent marker writing from items I was selling on Ebay.
But, I got dematitis on my head the next day, I think from scratching my head with a hand that still had the solvent on it. Now the whole scalp is swollen and tender and I had to see a doctor.

So I may use this again, since it works well, but I will wear latex gloves to see if that keeps it under control!!!!
