I've recorded several 1-2hour seminars, use it to play back .wav and MP3's and as a file transfer tool. It fits in my pocket, and isn't so small that I forget to take it out. At ~$130 US it's the absolute best technology value going! A BIG advantage over its predecessor is the high quality LCD display which gives you song titles and filenames. Recording is a snap!

Pros: Good Sound, small size is nice, price ($100) was right. Works with a MacIntosh.
Cons: Earbuds. Bought a small set of Sony MDR-W08 headphones ($10) for comfort & better sound.

The Nomad MuVo Is a very good sounding MP3 player that fits in a pocket with ease. Smaller than a pack of cigarettes, you hardly know it's there. This product can also be used with a MacIntosh by drag & drop. I don't believe this is documented. It worked for me though.

Pros: Small size, lots of playback options, easy connection to PC, good WMA quality at 64kbps.
Cons: Crappy earbuds, battery life, no strap included, non-expandable memory.

This is my first MP3 player and I opted for this one after a little research. The player is really small and weighs very little. The quailty of sound is very good and I found that WMA songs at 64 kbps don't sound much worse than an MP3 at 128kbps. By doing this you basically double the memory, so I can usually put 55-60 songs into this puppy. The volume is a bit low, even at 3/4, but I don't really have a problem with it not making my ears bleed. I'm using some generic batteries I got (16 AAA for a dollar) and they last about 6-7 hours playing WMA, which really isn't that great. I guess I shouldn't complain, since I'm using cheap-o batteries. The player plugging directly into my PC is a big plus, since the fewer cords I have laying around the better.

Overall, this is an excellent player for jogging or anything else that has you on the go. I am a commercial window cleaner and this player is ideal for me, since it's so small and the provided belt clip keeps it out of the way.

After using other MP3 players (including original Creative Jukebox) I was very surprised how easy the MuVo NX was to use. From loading files to playback it was simple. Didn't like the earbuds it came with (sounded cheap), so went back to an older pair of headphones and the sound quality was great. The original MuVo was pretty slick but featureless. This NX has many of the features I expect from a player at this price. I take it everywhere with me now. And wow has it come in handy when I needed to transfer some work files from Laptop to PC!
