| adonna's Full Review: Home & Garden |
Relaxing, that's what it is. Home and Garden TV was just added to my cable line up and I find myself straying there in the morning before work to watch shows like Typical Mary Ellen, a funny woman with a random collection of household and garden tips which always has just one thing that I can put to use, or skipping lunch to watch the sewing and quilting shows because, darn it, they're inspiring. I'll even turn to the appraisal shows when my husband is watching the news! I've heard some people say it's addicting, and I don't know about that, but it's certainly relaxing and informative. And for once, it's nice to see something on TV that I can actually use.
What you won't find on HGTV is shows that about drunk rednecks being hauled off to jail, or endless profiles of serial killers, or presidential politics. Decorating, home making, gardening, renovating, collecting, sewing, these you'll find. If you want to learn more about Dahlmer or Bundy, switch to another channel. If you want something fun and useful, HGTV is a good bet.
Better yet, they have a web site which often has detailed plans for the projects shown on the shows! Cut and paste this into your browser and visit it after you've read my other opinions. Http://www.hgtv.com
If you like HGTV, let me know.
