I love my Nokia!

The Bottom Line They're versatile (in design), easy to use, and get great connections... at the price and accessibility, who can resist?
Once I finally decided I needed to get a cell phone, I spent quite a bit of time looking into different brands, deals, features, service packages, etc. As usual, I had specific bells and whistles in mind, as well as a somewhat reasonable price range!
I wanted a versatile, small, quality phone. I've never been fond of flip-phones, wimpy antennas, annoying rings, archeaic systems, etc. I found most everything i wanted in my Nokia 5190. In fact my worst problem buying it was that it was back-ordered almost everywhere I went!
The more and more I looked into where technology is heading, I decided digital was the way to go, of course in my area (the Northwest) someplaces don't have digital yet, they're still only analog. You can get an analog sleeve to put between the phone and the battery for those times when you need it!
It has caller ID capabilities (obviously depending on your service agreement) a huge phonebook capacity, allowing the caller ID to state names if they are in your phonebook! 35 different rings are available for your every whim. If you buy a vibra battery (aprox $60, depending on different battery types) you can also make the phone vibrate instead of ringing. My only wish, regarding rings, would be that you could assign different rings to certain numbers that call... unfortunately, with this you can't! bummer!
Of course, any technology now has to have a couple games. I've really only played 1 of the 3 games on the phone, but Snake is totally addictive, especially when your little sister keeps bragging that she's got the high score (well not any more Canela! HA!) It's also a fun way to run down the battery when it's at a real low level... (I like to run it all the way down every once in a while before I re-charge!)
Speaking of batteries, I'm amazed at how long this one lasts, even though I leave my phone on all night (I always forget to turn it off! Doh!), it lasts me at least 3, if not 4 days. And with my car charger, it only takes about 40 minutes to completely charge!
I also looked at the 6190, the only differences were 1 game... oh no, hold me back! A little bit of weight (Hey I'm heavier then most of my friends too! What of it!) and the fact that the 5190 has much a cooler chameleon-like charm to it, with detachable color covers that can easily be changed. Right now I'm using Dolphin Silver, but I'm hunkering towards my Plum Red cover here pretty soon!
