Best price online for the Treo 90, shipped and arrived VERY quickly.

On Wednesday, March 12, I decided that I wanted to check out color PDAs. I had admired the Treo 90 before, but thought it a little too pricey. I do like Handspring PDAs though - I started with a Visor and then upgraded to a Visor Edge a couple of years ago.
A review of CNet.com, a nice site for product reviews and price comparisons, showed that the Treo 90 was rated higher than similar Palm units in the same price range. (list $299, best price at Comp-U-Plus for $174 plus $14.95 shipping)
I looked at a couple of Sony units as well, but I wanted the functionality that I had. I made a decision that the Treo 90 would have the functionality I needed at a good price. I'll describe the functionality I wanted if I do an epinion on the Treo 90.
Back to Comp-U-Plus....CNET.com listed the prices from various online vendors for the unit I wanted. Comp-U-Plus had the lowest price, shippping included, for new units. I also observed that it has a fairly strong rating average from customers. Some complaints centered around sending the wrong item but I figured that the item I wanted was pretty clear.
I also checked prices with online services ZDNet.com and Pricegrabber.com. I then checked on Epinions and found that, again, Comp-U-Plus was well regarded, but not universally so. None of the poor ratings seemed to pertain to my intended order.
I ordered the item at about 10am CST on Wednesday, march 12, 2003. The order was acknowledged within a couple of hours. It shipped the same day, and 2 day air was included in the shipping charge of $14.95. A lot of competing vendors had a similar price but charged more (often, a LOT more) for ground shipping.
The Treo arrived today, Friday, March 14, in new condition as described. I couldn't be more delighted.
I'm going to check with Comp-U-Plus from now on for computer peripherals, supplies or parts purchases.
