Pros: The Staff, The View, The Food, The Whole Atmosphere
Cons: Seems to be more for families or an older crowd than I had expected
The Bottom Line: You could go to Aruba, never leave the Tamarijn and have the best time. If you are looking for a completely worry free vacation, I would definetly recommend the Tamarijn!

| tilde1221's Full Review: Tamarijn Aruba Beach Resort |
I just got back yesterday from my week at the Tamarijn ( January 13-19). It was amazing, and in a word PERFECT! My boyfriend and I went. All-Inclusive is the ONLY way to go! We were pampered the entire week and did not have to worry about a thing. Everything is taken care of for you!
Rooms: Clean and very simple. Walk out sliding glass doors to a gorgeous beach, facing the sunset. Huts and chairs provided in front of the room to lay out on the beach. There were large rocks outside our room so we could not go directly into the water, but it was not a far walk to the beach. Our only complaint was that there was no refrigerator in the room. The rooms never get really cold either. However, the temperature is comfortable and the beds are comfortable too. The bathrooms are small and simple including a sink, shower and toilet. The shower was Great because you can adjust the water pressure to whatever you find comfortable.
Service: The staff, just like the people on the whole island, were AMAZING. The nicest people you could meet. They always served you with a smile, no matter how early or late! They were also very efficient. The waiters and waitresses barely gave you a chance to finish your drink without giving a refill. The bartenders were so friendly and remembered exactly what you drink. The concierge helped me out a lot. I am only twenty and this was my first vacation without my parents, she helped me book everything and explained everything to me.
Things to do: You can stay in the resort and just enjoy the pool or gorgeous beach. The all inclusive includes non motorized water sports, but I didn't get a chance to snorkel or anything. You can take a golf cart like car down to the casino or to the Divi resort and see what's going on there. We mostly just hungout at the bar. Jet skiing is extra but definetly worth it! The hotel helped me book a tour, a fishing trip, a spa visit and even reservations at restaurants. There are always cabs waiting at the lobby and it is very easy to get anywhere from the hotel. Leaving is sometimes hard because it is just so wonderful there! However, the island and the people are so wonderful that it is worth it to tear yourself away from the resort occasionally! If you would prefer to rent a car, there is car rental on the premises, and the parking is free. But, I would not recommend driving, since there seems to be no enforced speed limit and the drivers are a bit reckless. There is a fitness center and a small game room with some arcade games and a pool table. However, with all of our other activities we never got to visit these!
Food: UNBELIEVABLE! It was seriously the best food I have ever eaten. There are two sit down restaurants, one buffet and one pizza place that is open late. Our package allowed us to eat at the Divi also. However, the buffet was so great we ended up eating there breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were always so many choices.
Environment: Everything is unbelievably clean. The views all over the resort are unbelievable. There are iguanas running around, which was awesome.
Atmosphere: Whatever you make it! It can be for family, friends or a romantic place. It depends on where you go in the resort and what you choose to do! My boyfriend and I enjoyed a very romantic getaway. However, we also found time to party with everyone at the resort!
Only complaint: Our fellow travelers were unbelievably nice. However we were really the only people under thirty there besides one or two honeymoon couples. This may be because of the time we went also, in early January.
