Ben and Jerry’s (B and J) online shop is an extension of the B and J Factory gift shop located in Vermont. Much of what you find on the site are gifts like t-shirts, hats, stickers, and keychains.
Most of the smaller items available cost around $3 to 7. But by far the most expensive thing you can purchase at the B and J online shop is the ICBM (Ice Cream by Mail). I nearly fell out of my chair LOL when I read this. Ice Cream by Mail is basically a six-pack of your favorite flavors delivered overnight for… $64.95. It reminds me of the $17.95 a bottle shipping charge asked by the now defunct wine.com (read my somewhat funny review, at http://www.epinions.com/content_49476963972).
Now, I understand that ice cream is perishable, but for someone to spring for the ICBM, must either be a) Really, really in love with someone; b) Owe someone really, really bad; c) a + b; d) A verifiable BJ addict; or e) Really (adjective) at (noun) – check out my next review, in the form of a mad lib http://www.epinions.com/content_53965393540.
A cheaper and more sensible alternative would be to order their ice cream coupons, each one has a value of $3.40. These coupons are perfect among strangers bearing gifts, but don’t try sending them to friends, as it marks you as a cheapskate who doesn’t have time to treat people right.
Other popular gifts B and J are the t-shirts; these do not disappoint. Most of the kids and adult sized tees feature some variation of B and J corporate logo imprinted on J. Crew colored tees. There are also some wacky tie-dies for sale. All cost around $17.00.
Shipping cost is tiered based on total purchases, the minimum being $4.00 for items totaling $25.00 or less. B and J ships via FedEx ground. In case you do not have reliable access to the Internet, or perhaps fearful of online shopping, there is an order form that you can print offline and send in the mail.
