Pros: Soft handle/shoulder strap, easy to install with or without base, mirror, 5-point harness
Cons: No universal strollers available for this carrier
The Bottom Line: An innovative carrier that other manufacturers should follow suit with. If it is indeed being discontinued, search high and low to get one...it's worth it.

| jauhiainen's Full Review: Fisher Price Stay in View Car Seat |
We have only used this car seat a few times thus far, but it's been a pleasure to use. We originally bought one of the Evenflo infant carriers with the base, but later read about safety issues and quickly returned it. After reading the reviews of the Fisher-Price Stay-In-View, as well as trying it at the store, we knew this was the car seat for us. Even though other reviews have indicated this carrier is being discontinued, we found it at our local Babies-R-Us; however, this may be limited to their stock on hand.
Safety being an important factor, the 5-point harness was tops on our list as a requirement. Also, the built in mirror is an added plus; however, we have yet to actually put it to the test since each and every time we've gone out someone has sit in the back seat keeping an eye on the baby.
A major convenience, which I really love and found odd that other manufacturers haven't though of is the soft carry handle that converts into a shoulder strap. We have put this to use many a times due to the fact that our daughter came home from the hospital with an oxygen, pulse/ox monitor, and apnea monitor. Trying to handle all of this when going out would be much tougher with a traditional carrier. Thank goodness for the shoulder strap...it's leaves me with an extra hand to handle the additional items. We are really pleased with the decision we made to get this carrier in lieu of the others, and would highly recommend it to others.
The only drawback that we discovered was that this carrier has yet to become popular with the public, so there were no universal strollers available to accommodate this infant carrier. We did, however, try various ones at the store and decided on the Baby Trend stroller which fits the carrier rather well (with all bars removed), especially when strapped in, although no setting or instructions were specifically stated in the manual for this carrier.
