Hey there...
When I first joined this site I was struck by one interesting facet of the personalities that inhabit this web community.
I was amazed by how many 'cat-lovers' were (are!) active on this site.
This attraction to the feline family is manifested in many ways. Some users incorporate 'cat' or 'kitty' into their user names. Others use the image of a feline—real, cartoon, drawing, etc.—as their Epinions 'member image'. Still others display images of their feline family member within the content placed on their user-page.
I have read amazing stories in this forum of cats and their owners. Of love. Of loss. Of pain. I have read stories that make me happy and stories that make me sad.
Shortly after I joined (or became active in Dec 2001) I began leaving a short 'sig line' on comments that I would leave on reviews. A comment that asked other users who might read and know of other users with cat pictures or content to send me that information. I began to accumulate a list of users who have 'gone feline'...:-) My thanks to wordwalker, lyagushka, and mr_calcul8r who all sent me some great tips on other users.
I would now invite my readers here to visit my user-page to see this collection. Each user has a 'hot-link' back to their user-page so you can see what caused them to be added. Some are there just for their name. Others are included for some great and unusual cat pictures. And even a few that aren't really cats but are cute none the less...:-)
I invite you to visit not because I need the hits, not to earn any pennies (we wish!). But just to learn some more about your fellow users here at Epinions. Perhaps to meet a new 'cat-lover' that you did not know.
Just below the first screen of my user-page is a link that will take you directly down the page to the beginning of the cat content. Easy as pie to find...:-)
I would invite everyone to please comment here with names of other users who might share this addiction to things feline. (Or you may e-mail if you are as shy as a newborn cat...:-) I hang out mostly in 'books' and I know I am missing 90% of the Epinions site. So please, do tell us of others you know about...:-)
