I spent many weeks researching dvd burners before I decided on the NEC ND-2510A and I am very glad that I did. This drive has been exactly what I was looking for in DVD burning. The installation was simple and I was burning disc within minutes. I used the drive for dvd-r and have not tried +r or rw yet so I cannot say how it works with them. All the dvds I have burned have played perfectly in my stand alone dvd player. Data is easy to back up as well. I burn a dvd in about 10 minutes with my Athlon 1700+, 30 GB 7200rpm drive, 512MB ram system so it is pretty quick. I should note that that speed is based on using 4x discs since I have not tried 8x discs yet. I use AZO dye dvds. Just a great drive with no coasters burned so far and you can't beat the price. I payed $69.99 with free shipping.
