The Bottom Line I have some great ideas on how to pay off student loans, or any other loans you may have! Please read this all the way through!
I have to say upfront that I am not in college and that I never have been...but I am all too familiar with debt and how to deal with it.
I am a stay home mom who makes extra money mostly from my home. Also, what I do wouldn't support a household or anything like that, unless you do really well at it that is. I have heard of others doing just that, but they live in bigger cities.
Anyway, back to the subject. What I would do first, as with any bills, is keep good track of them. I have all ours written down with all the info on it I will need. Make a chart sort of thing, with spaces to fill in the bills as you get them. Have a place on the chart for when the bill is due, whom it is due to, what the payment due is, an area for date paid and amount paid.
I have found this to be a great way to keep from over looking things. Just be sure that you write them down as you get them and keep them all together. If it is an ongoing loan that you never get statements from be sure you keep that up as well on the chart, then you will always know if and when it was paid and what you still owe.
Also, keep all you bills together in one place. This is very important! I keep a little envelope size holder right on my desk so that I always see it and remember I owe money.
Also, pay your bills first! When you get paid, sit right down and pay what needs paid before you spend on anything else, even food. You can always budget on the food to make up.
And there is a way to make money out there that is pretty easy. Search mystery shopping online, and see what you come up with! It is a fun way to make extra money in a short amount of time. This is what I do myself, and find it too be, not only a lot of fun, but pretty good money when it adds up too! Merchandising is also a good thing you can do to earn extra money. Anyone who can shop can do this! I have found that it is great for college students needing to make extra money, or stay home moms like me for the same reason!
