Pros: Super-quick & easy, durable, CO2 cartridges last a long time
Cons: Usually doesn't work with synthetic "corks"
The Bottom Line: As long as you don't mind buying refill CO2 cartridges on occasion, this a great product. For ease of use, the price is well worth it.

| jenagy's Full Review: CorkPops Wine Opener |
This product is terrific. It opens a wine bottle in about 1-2 seconds. It's faster & easier than any other type of wine opener we've tried, including the rabbit-type.
The opener works on a pretty simple concept. It consists of a hollow 3 1/2" tube with a needle attached and a small CO2 cartridge inside the tube. You insert the needle into a cork, then press down on the cartridge, which sends a blast of CO2 into the bottle. The cork pops right out.
We've been using our CorkPops about once or twice a week for almost 2 years now, & have only had to change the cartridge twice (the instructions say the cartridge opens "over 50 bottles" - we've opened well over 50 per cartridge). Refills can be ordered online ($10 for 2), and there is an "800" reorder number right on the cartridge.
We gave CorkPops as relatively inexpensive gifts at Christmas - they were a big hit.
This opener has one drawback - it doesn't usually work on synthetic corks. Save your corkscrew for these rare occasions.
