Krups Power XL6 Work Top Blender
by cjmadura ,Jun 14 '04
Pros: None. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Cons: I've grown tired of typing. Stay away from this trash!
GARBAGE!!!
Don't let the 6-arm blade fool you. This blender is severely
underpowered and even more severely under-engineered. I bought it to replace an excellent Oster unit which smashed to bits when it fell to the tile floor, and this krups krap is about to take the same plunge.
The unit is only 9 months old, and the motor is starting to sound anemic - full speed for this thing is now a major effort. Creating frozen cocktails is impossible. Suddenly ice is indestructable. Finally, the base and jar design is pitiful. The seal is a BAD design, which spits whatever your blending out the back of the housing onto the base, in a spot which cannot be reached with any cleaning products. It is impossibly narrow.

Krups Blender
by brianblackman1 ,Apr 25 '04
Pros: The motor still works, though it does sometimes smell. Cons: This is so much worse than any other blender I have ever used!
This seems to be poorly designed and badly manufactured. The top does not stay together when you need it to, for instance when you are making milk shakes. This means more mess and huge frustration. The base leaks easily and part of it is impossible to clean- the part between the glass and the plastic on the lower portion. The service and repair shops are deceptive and rude; they promised that our gift was within warranty and so I sent it in. Now I don't have it and they want me to pay $21 for their inspection and shipping. Frankly, the blender isn't worth that much to me. The warranty is not worth the paper it's printed on. DO NOT BUY Krups and DO NOT GIVE Krups as a gift.

Just awful
by myk_d ,Apr 03 '05
Pros: Big carafe Cons: Everything else, seriously.
Boy, I wish I had come to this site before buying this terribly marvelous example of under-engineering and ill-conceived construction. The motor on this Krups is hardly powerful enough for warm avocado. It finally died (smoke and everything) trying to blend some frozen bananas and strawberries. Thank goodness it did, because now I can buy a new one. Leaky, difficult to clean, underpowered, could not blend anything harder than overripe bananas. Waring MBB518 Stainless Steel, for the price, end of story.

Crappy Krups
by toridale ,Jun 17 '04
Pros: none Cons: It leaks and not enough power.
I have always have had good luck with Krups products. This one is crap. I have had it for 6 months and the seal is not tight and it leaks all the time. It does not have enough power to blend frozen drinks well. This ones a dud. Krups, I want my money back!

by brionesa ,Oct 11 '04
Pros: None Cons: Motor not strong.
This blender is horrible!!! I literally used it 4 times and then the motor gave out. I do not recommend this model to anyone. I am now on a search for a new blender. Any suggestions on make and model are welcome.

terrible
by difran ,Jun 29 '05
Pros: It was on Sale Cons: Poorly designed, buy a better brand
Poorly designed. The base leaks every time spilling liquid over the edge and into the motor. The seal was chopped up after coming loose. I am returning this product after only two weeks of use.

Krups XL6 Power Blender
by watchitnow ,Dec 28 '05
Pros: None Cons: Everything
Don't waste your money. This blender has been a piece of garbage since I brought it home. It makes a great mixed drink, crushes ice perfectly, but the seal is worthless. It spits everything out the back end of the unit spraying anything behind it.
