by KMINER KMINER is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Home and Garden, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Jan 01 '05
Pros: Nice, continual scent
Cons: Can get expensive
I actually got the idea to purchase these from our realtor. I typically burn candles, and love the different scents mingling in my home. However, when listing and showing a house - a house we live in with our 4 year old and 4 pets mind you - you need ...

No More "Eau de Locker Room" - Glade Plug-Ins Scented Oil

by logimom Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, May 23 '04
Pros: Long-lasting and pleasant fragrances
Cons: Too powerful for really small rooms and bathrooms
I love a fresh-smelling house, but sometimes things just don’t work out that way. With a house-full of boys, my home smells like an old gym sock sometimes – especially in the 14 year-old’s room. I’ve tried almost every room freshener ...

Pros: Continual, gentle scent. Many scents to choose from. Easy to use.
Cons: Oils can damage furniture if you are not careful.
I am reviewing Glade PlugIns Scented Oil with both a positive and negative experience. These do make the home smell very nice, but you should also be aware of one problem associated with the oils. The Warmer Glade ...

The Best Way To Scent My Home: Glade PlugIns Scented Oil

by moonsista Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Feb 28 '04
Pros: Scents the home nicely; easy to use and refill; refills last 6 weeks; not expensive
Cons: Some scents weaker than others in strength
I religiously bought Glade PlugIns when they first came out. These were the little plastic trays of gel that were inserted into the electric warmer, releasing scent over the course of a month or two. Unfortunately, the scent never lasted long, and ...

by three_ster, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jun 08 '05
Pros: works well, smells great, many fragrant choices
Cons: none
I have cats. I am a guy. I live alone. Add those three things together, and you come to the simple conclusion: air fresheners are literally like gold. Seriously though, I am not the worst kept person, but I like to make sure that the place I live smells ...

Glade Plugins Scented Oil Air Freshener: The Best of a Disappointing Breed

by quasar Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Feb 22 '06
Pros: no oil waste, strong (at least with Hawaiian Breeze scent), compact, easy installation
Cons: difficult to open package, hard to tell when oil jar is empty, not terribly stylish
The Glade Plugins Scented Oil Air Freshener is a decent air freshener, certainly better than both of the similar air fresheners I've tried previously (the N eutra-Air and the B ath & Body ...

by luvtoshop11 , Mar 31 '07
Pros: Smells Great, Lasts 60 Days, Continuous Release Of Fragrance
Cons: Can Get Expensive
When you have pets, your house just tends to get smellier faster. Even if he/she is the cleanest pet, they have an accident or roll in something outside, and then they smell up the house. Glade Plug In Scented Oil cures this problem. It warms a ...

TOXIC PRODUCT ALSO FLAMMABLE

by EindallK.Stine , Jun 14 '04
Pros: NONE for health, plenty for manufacturer's pocket
Cons: numbing of olfactory sense, increased allergies, migraines, irritability, asthma, sore throat (possible fires?)
PURE POLLUTION, CONSUMER BEWARE. Fresh air and air "freshener" are total opposites. Most scented products on the market today are made from synthetic chemicals and have not been thoroughly tested (many not at all), for their health effects on humans. ...

Pros: at least you are trying to scent the house nicely...
Cons: gives me migraines! unnatural scent too strong! lingers for days when you've unplugged it!
I can't visit my Mom, I get a major migraine. No, it's not Mom, it's the Glade Plugins Scented Oil she just started using! I get an immediate warm sensation in the back of my eyes, and then I start to feel a band of pounding pain around my head; ...

What I don't like about Glade Scented PlugIns
by bev02 ,Jan 15 '05
Pros: Nice fragrances
Cons: Containers plug up and fragrance doesn't last
These PlugIns always plug up before the container is empty and you don't get your money's worth out of the product. The fragrances are great if I could get full use out of each refill. I have tried the product made by the competition and when you put on a new refill it is because the old bottle is empty. It's quite frustrating to purchase 10 Glade PlugIns with refills, refills for those refills and never get to use your refill because the PlugIn you bought plugged up. HELP GLADE !!!!!!

Smells nice, burns HOLES in vinyl floors!
by sammy60164 ,Nov 19 '06
Pros: Smells really good
Cons: BURNS HOLES IN VINYL TILES!!!
We had the glade oil plug in plugged in the front entrance. Worked awesome, the scent carried through the whole first floor of our 1 1/2 year old home. This morning my wife was cleaning the floor and noticed a white spot under the glade plug in. It melted a hole through the first layer of tile. Granted it was the vinyl tile that the builder put down, but it wasn't the stick down stuff it was the glue down type, and for right now it was all we could afford. She quickly unplugged it to prevent any more damage. I sent an email to the maker,sc Johnson inc, we will see what will come of it. We are very unhappy about the situation. We have all kinds of pictures and proof. The hole smells like the scent, proof enough!

Glade PlugIns Low on Energy Usage?
by sjb123 ,Aug 23 '05
Pros: My "Suddenly Spring" PlugIn provides a warm welcome when friends/family step into our entryway.
Cons: I am curious as to how much energy is consumed with these PlugIns.
I'm assuming I am correct in figuring there is very little electricity drain per PlugIn used throughout my house.

I recently read a Register newspaper article that stated things like cell phone chargers, and curling irons, etc., that were left plugged in even though the appliance was not being used, were big energy drains and would cost the home owner up to $49 yearly if they left many appliances plugged in around the house. Can your company provide figures on
the amount of energy your Glade PlugIns consume either daily, monthly or yearly?

I enjoy the great fragrance that the PlugIns spread around my house, but if the energy consumption is costly I will switch to the fresheners that just require loosening the lid.

Please answer my e-mail. Thank you in advance.

Sandra Berger
