Have really enjoyed this system from day one and would highly recommend it to anyone. The value is tremendous...everything you could want in a 5-disc DVD/CD player with the 5 speakers included. The surround effects are great and allow you to choose between different sound fields, different tonalities, and the dolby 5.1 sounds great through this system. For the complete audiophile this may lack all of the watts/options that they would desire (my little complaint is not being able to adjust bass/treble seperately...have to use the preset modes), but if you're looking for tremendous sound for a great price you cannot beat this system.

While we initially loved this system and found the sound to be great compared to not having anything, we later came to regret this purchase when the DVD player started acting up. It would not play most of the time and we found it would cost $80 just to have someone look at it. If we had bought separate components, we could have just replaced the DVD player, since they are now cheaper than $80. As it was, we ended up replacing the whole system.

Okay I am going to sound weird but hey ! How could I live my life without this machine ! It does everything ! I listen to the radio,my vcr, the tv and dvd in surround sound. The dvd image is crystal clear. When I bought this , I had told myself ,"Ok here is $600.00 dollars, if it does not work out I will forget about home theaters". I use to be of the seperate unit religion ,now I love this combo unit. Go buy it ! The sound is clear amd great for music. How many nights have me,the wife and the children spent watching Nemo or The Lion king cuddled in a blanket and thanking Panasonic for the evening.Really a cool machine !
